The Radical Kindness of Monsignor Sheridan tells the compelling life story of Irish priest and celebrated author Monsignor John V. Sheridan.

The documentary retraces Monsignor Sheridan’s childhood in Ireland, his youthful brush with death and ultimate decision to accept a divine call to ordination, to his days as a young parish priest in Los Angeles leading towards his work as a highly sought-after spiritual writer and poet during his distinguished service as Director of the Catholic Information Center in downtown Los Angeles during the 1960s.

His forty-five years of service as a parish priest and Pastor at Our Lady of Malibu are highlighted, where Monsignor loving attended his congregation with humor and humility, his daily prayer and guiding principle the Psalmist “Quid retribuam?” or “What can I give?”

Through video, photographs, selected writings, and narration by his dear friend Martin Sheen, Radical Kindness explores the question: What does the life of an Irish priest with humble beginnings teach us towards our own calling to Holiness: our calling to be fully human?
