Charleene Closshey

Charleene Closshey is an American actress, musician, composer and producer, often focusing on stories of empowerment and the responsibility of Choice.

Closshey is most recently known for her work on indie dramedy No Postage Necessary, the first film to ever be released on the Blockchain.

Charleene co-produced and starred in feature film An Evergreen Christmas, receiving a Best Actress Nomination at the 2014 California Independent Film Festival. She also composed the music score and much of the film’s soundtrack.

Charleene composed the score and starred in the cutting-edge musical Feather: A Musical Portrait, a show fusing theatre with film, music, and live portrait painting; it premiered Off Broadway at the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Closshey made her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical Once in 2014; Charleene’s ambient chart-topping album Glimpse is featured in yoga and meditation classes worldwide, as well as on the meditation app Insight Timer. Her violin playing landed her onstage with Josh Groban, the TransSiberian Orchestra, Ricky Skaggs, and Frank Sinatra, Jr.; she’s even dueled fiddles with legendary country artist Charlie Daniels.

A classically trained musician and actor, Closshey studied drama and music disciplines at Circle in the Square, The Juilliard School, New York University, and Berklee Music.
